Education

2021-2025

Sport & Exercise Science Bsc (Hons)

Stirling University

I developed a deep understanding of human movement, performance, and health. My studies covered key areas such as biomechanics, analysing movement efficiency and injury prevention; sports medicine, focusing on rehabilitation and athletic health; human physiology, exploring how the body responds and adapts to exercise; and anatomy, providing in-depth knowledge of muscles, joints, and bodily functions.

For my honours dissertation, I researched ‘Hydration and Lower Limb Power’, investigating how hydration levels impact explosive strength and performance—insights I now apply to optimize training and recovery for my clients.

2024-2025

Level 4 S&C Coach

S&C Education

This CIMSPA endorsed qualification has equiped me with the knowledge and practical skills to enhance athletic performance across various sports and fitness levels. The course covered key areas such as agility, speed, and acceleration, focusing on movement mechanics and explosive power development. I also studied periodisation, learning how to structure training programs for peak performance and injury prevention.

Additionally, I gained expertise in Olympic lifting techniques, applying them to strength development, and specialised S&C strategies for contact sports, emphasising resilience, power, and injury reduction. My training also included fitness testing, using performance assessments to track progress and optimize training plans.

2018-2020

Fitness, Health and Exercise HND

City of Glasgow College

This Personal Training course developed the skills to design effective, tailored fitness programs for a wide range of clients. My training covered applied nutrition assessment, allowing me to evaluate dietary habits and provide guidance for optimal health and performance. I also gained expertise in health screening, ensuring safe and effective exercise planning based on individual needs and medical considerations.

Additionally, I studied exercise prescription for special populations, learning how to adapt training for clients with specific health conditions, injuries, or unique fitness requirements. My knowledge of flexibility training enables me to incorporate mobility and stretching techniques that enhance movement quality, reduce injury risk, and improve overall performance.

Employment

2025

Sport Scientist

Alloa Athletic Football Club

I worked closely with academy players and coaching staff to optimise athletic performance through evidence-based training and monitoring. My responsibilities included analysing player load using GPS technology, maintaining detailed training logs, and implementing fatigue and wellbeing questionnaires to track recovery and readiness. I developed athlete performance profiles focusing on strength, power, and agility, and delivered educational sessions on hydration and nutrition to support consistent performance.

This hands-on experience allowed me to integrate sports science principles into practical coaching environments—enhancing performance, reducing injury risk, and promoting long-term athletic development.

2025

Strength and Conditioning Coach

Stirling County Rugby Club

As Strength and Conditioning Coach at Stirling County RFC, I worked with senior players to enhance on-field performance through structured, evidence-based programming. I led squad gym sessions focusing on strength and power development, introduced athletes to velocity-based training methods, and supported recovery through targeted strategies such as oxygen therapy and supplementation.

My role also involved contributing to in-season block periodisation, ensuring players maintained peak performance while managing training load. By applying my academic grounding in biomechanics and physiology to practical rugby environments, I helped athletes improve physical resilience, movement efficiency, and overall game readiness.

2024-2025

Sport Scientist

Stirling Albion Football Club

During my time with Stirling Albion FC’s Development Squad, I worked across multiple aspects of player performance, combining applied sport science with practical strength and conditioning delivery. I was responsible for monitoring training and match loads using GPS technology (PlayerData), maintaining athlete performance logs, and conducting post-match analyses through individual reflection diaries. I implemented fatigue and wellbeing questionnaires to assess player readiness, and created detailed athlete profiles measuring strength, power, and agility.

Additionally, I delivered hydration and nutrition lectures to support fluid balance and recovery, while overseeing gym-based sessions focused on movement quality and performance development. This role allowed me to translate complex physiological data into actionable coaching strategies, enhancing player performance and reducing injury risk throughout the season.
